History of Cherry Creek Chamber of Commerce
The Cherry Creek Chamber of Commerce, formerly known as the Cherry Creek Commerce Association, was founded in 1983. Over the years, the Cherry Creek Chamber has played an integral role in bringing business to the Cherry Creek district.
The Chamber advocated on behalf of the Taubman Company to ensure that the Cherry Creek Shopping Center was built in 1989 at its current location on 1st Avenue and University Blvd. As a result of the Shopping Center being built, the first Business Improvement District in the state was started which is called the Cherry Creek North BID. According to VISIT Denver, Cherry Creek is one of the top tourist destinations in Colorado.
In 1990, the Chamber provided a portion of the starting funds to the Cherry Creek Arts Festival to help them kick off their first event. Since that time, the Cherry Creek Arts Festival has turned into one of the top 5 Arts Festivals in the United States drawing more than 300,000 visitors annually to the Cherry Creek area during the July 4th weekend.
The Cherry Creek Chamber has been bringing the community together to build relationships, educate and increase referrals and bring sales to its members for 41 years. Currently our chamber averages over 200 events/meetings annually bringing 4500 metro business people together in Cherry Creek.

We offer our members opportunities to grow professionally on one of our committees or as an Ambassador for our Chamber. We also identify future leaders of our community and offer them positions on either our YP Board or our Chamber Board of Directors.
